Second hike of the day. I got misguided at the first stream crossing and lost about 5 stupid minutes looking for the trail! the newly fallen leaves made finding the trail hard at times! The trail is a re-route of an older trail up to the "ski area vista" then it becomes a steady straight rocky shot up the mountain. Quite a consistent lovely grind. The grind levels out around 3800' at a trail intersection. I headed north and took the left trail to the summit. Another 200 feet or so and I was at the top with some other hikers. Views were limited to the east (tripyramid). There were some west views on the trail of Moosilauke. I reached the summit in 1:28. I hung around and chit chatted for about 30 minutes. On my descent I chose to hike down the ski trail, there were some beaten paths in the grass so I think this is not uncommon. Total vertical for the hike was a measly 2275'. Overall a very quick 4000 footer. Easiest I have done yet.
