Trail(s) Taken Black Mtn Tr

Ah nothing like a nice Views and Brews hike on a Sunday afternoon! I joined, Pamola, Tom Rankin, Laurie, and some of Pamola's friends to snag Black Mtn in Dummerston VT! The trail was nice and dry and mostly clear of snow. It wasn't too steep but at the same time wasn't annoyingly flat. It took us a little under an hour to reach the summit.

The summit was chock full of exposed bedrock as well as cairns. We decided since there was no cairn on the summit to instead take down the other cairns and build one big one on top! We hung around on the summit for a while talking and enjoying the weather before making our descent. On the way down we decided to do a little trail maintenance, so we removed all the movable blow downs (which was pretty much all of them). This was my first hike in a while where the trail was dry and snow-less!
