Trail(s) Taken  Clark Brook, LT, Bread loaf spur

This hike was done as a NE 100 Highest peak bagging excursion. The goal was to bag Wilson and Bread loaf. Views were very nice however a tad on the hazy side. Some distant clouds made for some very odd looking horizons. Clark Brook trail was not very hard, neither was the Long Trail. I decided to break in my new winter books on this trip. I lasted until Wilson summit before I could take the pain and blisters from my new boots no more, and I switched back to my old boots. I stashed an actual bread loaf on the summit of bread loaf and pretended to be surprised to find it in my pictures :) On the descent down Clark Brook Trail I encountered a hungry black bear. I did not see it but I most certainly heard it. It made a loud groaning noise (similiar to Chewbacca!) then went crashing through a thicket towards me. I made a brisk pace down to trail to get away from the creature. I armed myself with a rock and my pocket knife (lot of good that would do!) just in case. Nothing became of the noisey creature tho.
